After speaking, Henry lowered his head slightly, not daring to meet Marcus's eyes. He could basically guess the look on his face—definitely not pleasant. That was exactly what Marcus had been wanting to hear. He gave Henry a slight nod to keep going. "Details." With his boss's approval, Henry went on, "Miss Fiona asked Madam how she knew Elaine. Said she never heard Elaine mention her before." "Madam replied their relationship wasn't that great, so maybe Elaine never brought her up." At this point, Henry stopped talking. That was the full conversation—nothing else had been said. "Anything more?" Marcus asked. "That's all," Henry replied firmly. Marcus knew this wasn't nearly everything he wanted to know, but even that little bit was enough to confirm that Audrey and Elaine weren't just strangers. He just
