Chapter 10

LUNETH The words linger in the air and I do not know how to respond to that. My hands shake a bit as I unstrap the seatbelt that had been holding me to the chair. "I think I will take you up on that offer and get some rest." I know how it looks to him but I do not mind running away from my problems right now. If I stay there, I might betray myself and start forcing myself to talk, but it seems like he did not want the guards to hear our conversation, even though I was sure that I knew the answer. I was selfish and fished him into a marriage situation with me I knew that I could not be that selfish to deny a man his needs. He was a man with needs after all and I was a woman with needs as well. I was only thinking about these things after the deed had been done. Sometimes my friends had called me old school because I did not see the point of sleeping with someone with whom you did not share soul ties. You had to at least have some kind of affection to be able to stand and watch each othe
