Michael continued bitterly, "Isn't this just rubbing salt in my wound?"
"Here, drink some water and take your time," Yarrick offered.
Michael grabbed the glass and chugged it like it was beer.
"Seriously, Yarrick. What is she even trying to say with this? Isn't this just her way of breaking up with me? But this is such a cruel way to do that!
"It hasn't even been that long since we graduated! I still remember how she used to cling to me when we slept together, and now, just like that, I'm a complete stranger to her! Just thinking about it makes me sick!"
Yarrick hurriedly said, "Alright, now. Calm down."
He could only sigh inwardly as he listened to Michael's rant. There really wasn't anything he could do about this sort of thing.
They were simply too poor to even afford a relationship.
