Chapter 1409

Noelle caught a glimpse of the structure outside through the small hatch in the door and saw that it resembled that of an old castle. She wondered if Ivy, or rather, her abductors, had such powerful influence. She then recalled that Ivy had been arrested along with Xenia and Laura, and wondered if she was now being held captive by the boss of the scam center where Ivy had once worked. It was the only explanation that made even the slightest bit of sense at the moment. But even so, Noelle was sure that the boss of the scam center wanted her dead more than anything else. Her current environment seemed way too generous of a treatment if that was the case. Noelle stared at the food in front of her and wondered if she should eat it. She eventually decided to eat it anyway. Given that she was being held captive, she would not be able to escape if she did not eat anything to replenish her energy. Noelle did not try to be pretentious and just picked up the food and began eating it slowly.
