Chapter 1497
Tears welled up in Serenity's eyes. She forgave him! She had already forgiven him!
The moment Jackson pressed his thumb to the device, a timer in the car started counting down.
Serenity knew that this was the countdown to the explosion. There were only 2 minutes left.
She only had 2 minutes left with Jack?
Jack could still walk away in these 2 minutes! Jack could leave!
Serenity took a deep breath, then shouted, "Connor, tell your men to pull Jack away!"
Connor was stunned. If he pulled Mr. Valor away... the bombs near the car would immediately explode!
"Whoever pulls me away, I'll kill your entire family! I swear I'll do it! Try it if you dare!" Jackson said coldly.
After he said that, no one dared to move. Connor felt really conflicted!
"Connor, go away. You don't have to stay here with me," Jackson said, his gaze returning to Serenity, "Serenity, I'm doing this willingly. I want to do it."
He wanted to do it? But... she didn't want him to die no matter what!
With a jolt, Serenity suddenly realized something. That's right, there was in fact another way. She had another choice.
Looking at her hand that was tied to the handbrake, she came to some sort of decision.
"I'm sorry, my babies. Mommy... has to make a selfish choice," Serenity murmured as her eyes drifted to her bulging belly, "I'm sorry that you three have to come with Mommy. But... Mommy loves Daddy very much. Mommy doesn't want Daddy to die."
Taking a deep breath, Serenity's fingers gripped the handbrake tightly. She said to Jackson, "Jack, that's enough. You've done more than enough for me!"
Jackson's eyes widened as he realized something. He shouted, "Serenity, don't! I forbid you from doing that! Do you hear me?!"
However, Serenity had already released the handbrake.
The next moment, the car's inertia made it move backwards. More and more of the car rolled past the cliff and hung in the air.
"I forgive you. It was never because of the babies." Serenity gazed at Jackson's pale, handsome face. His face was filled with fear, panic, and pain!
That man was... her most beloved!
"You must live well!"
She felt the car falling. Through the windshield in front of her, she could see the blue sky.
She was a selfish woman. She selfishly traded the lives of her three babies for Jack's life.
But... she chose to do it anyway! She picked that man up off the street and brought him home. Later, he gave her a home.
She knew that he would be sad for a long time after this.
