Paige's POV
I stood on the shore, aviator glasses shielding my eyes from the glaring sun, watching as the yacht approached. The salty breeze carried my scent away from the beach.I glanced back impatiently toward the beach house where Noah had disappeared, claiming he'd forgotten something essential.
"Miss Paige!"
I turned my attention to Oliver, noting the concern etched across his features.
"Are you alone, Oliver?" I asked.
"Yes, Miss Paige. I sailed alone just as you requested."
I nodded slowly, glancing over my shoulder again. "What's taking him so long?"
"Uh... Miss Paige, shall we go?"
Heaving a sigh, I met Oliver's confused gaze. "Let's wait a little longer."
He nodded, clearly bewildered. Of course he would be,he thought I was alone on this isolated stretch of coastline, far from any pack territories.
I checked my watch just as Noah came running across the sand, his dark hair disheveled by the wind. My initial irritation evaporated at the sight of his face.
