Chapter 2888
It was later that day when Zivon approached Xavia and said, “Why didn’t you tell me about that woman? I could’ve told the mall’s security to toss her right out!”
Chuckling in response, Xavia replied, “No worries… A woman like her could never steal my husband…”
Calming down a little when he heard that, Zivon then said, “…Well, you’re right about that… I only have one wife, and she’ll always be you…”
…What a cheesy man… Leaning against his shoulder, Xavia sighed before muttering, “Hey, honey? Why are mistresses impossible to get rid of?”
Raising a slight brow, Zivon replied, “Because love needs to be deep. It just goes to show that the world has too few people who genuinely love each other. Also, you don’t need to worry about me getting a mistress since most of the women who approach me aren’t even worthy of being dogs in my eyes.”
…Okay, though that was a little rude, she couldn’t help but admire his dedication toward her…
Either way, it was the next morning when Xavia was greeted by another surprise. Apparently, Fabiola was now demanding to be sent to school!
“Why the sudden change of heart…?”
Putting her backpack on, Fabiola replied, “Because Neal said that I was going to be stupid if I didn’t study! I’m proving to him that even a person like me can end up smarter than him! Also, Lea kept saying that she wanted to win Neal’s heart by being smarter than me, and I refuse to let that happen! Neal belongs to me!”
…Had her daughter always been this competitive? Then again, it was probably a result of having to be so independent for so long…
It took her a while, but Xavia eventually said, “…Though I’m glad that you want to head to school again, please be careful about being overly competitive… I don’t want you falling for tricks just because people dare you to do stuff, alright…?”
“…What are you trying to say, Mommy? Why shouldn’t I win all the time?”
…How was she supposed to even explain that to her…? Feeling helpless, she glanced at Zivon… but to her dismay, he simply grinned while replying, “She has a point, you know?”
…Damn it, they were truly father and daughter!
Her train of thought was cut short when she heard Fabiola ask, “Can you arrange a marriage between me and Neil, Daddy? I just have to be his bride!”
…As if he’d ever let his baby girl get married! Not wanting to even think about it, especially after all the painful memories he had regarding arranged marriages, he simply shook his head before heading off to work…
