Chapter 294
‘Meet me at Lockhart Mansion at ten tomorrow morning. There’s something I need to discuss with you.’
With how concise the message was, it almost felt like Zivon was reading a formal email. Whatever the case was, after staring at the message for a while… he eventually ended up blacklisting her number.
Since she wanted to be with Stefan so much, there was no need for him to be bothered by her. If she was leaving, she should just leave for good…!
Fast forward to the next day, an exquisite-looking meal could be seen placed on a luxurious dining table in the Presidential Suite…
Looking extremely gentlemanly as he cut the steak, Stefan handed the first slice to Yulia… before cutting again and passing the next one to Xavia.
“Let’s not talk about anything first… Just have your breakfast with peace of mind for now,” said Stefan.
Xavia, for one, agreed as she smiled faintly at Stefan before starting to dig in. Truth be told, she had already thought of a plan to deal with Jenna’s matter that would hopefully prevent any further trouble…
After the meal, Stefan was first to clear his throat before saying, “I’ve already booked some tickets for us. We’re heading back together at noon.”
What? They were leaving today? Startled by the declaration, Xavia was prompted to ask, “…Are you in a hurry…?”
“Indeed… You see, I’ve already told Anthony to push a contract signing and an important meeting to today’s afternoon.”
Upon hearing that, Xavia instantly fell silent. So he had taken time off to see her despite his busy schedule…? Though Xavia couldn’t help but feel touched, she also felt rather guilty when she eventually replied, “I… can’t go back for the time being… You see, I’ve been told by a doctor that if I provide a blood transfusion to Jenna, there’s a high chance that she’ll awaken within half a month.”
“With that said, I wish to at least try to treat her first before returning to S City. Otherwise, I fear I may not have peace of mind… Don’t worry, I’m only planning to heal her. I’ll never return to Zivon’s villa!” declared Xavia in a determined tone, though she made sure not to mention a thing about her unique blood type for fear that it might worry him.
Regardless, Stefan was naturally understanding. After all, even he knew that it was going to be difficult for them to resolve the current issue as long as Jenna remained comatose.
With that, Stefan momentarily went silent… before eventually saying, “…I’ll allow you to stay in Darlsbury on two conditions. Firstly, I’ll be accompanying you to the Lockhart Mansion so that they won’t dare to bully you again. As for the second condition, I’m taking Yulia back with me. I really don’t want her to continue getting involved with Zivon. What more, it’s simply more dangerous for her to continue staying in Darlsbury.”
Knowing that Stefan wasn’t about to negotiate his terms, Xavia couldn’t help but feel like she had been placed in a rather tight spot…
For one, she really didn’t want the Lockharts to get involved in her personal affairs. Whoever her boyfriend was had nothing to do with that family. The thought of not having Yulia by her side also made her feel uneasy. After all, Stefan was always busy and she had a feeling that Yulia would only end up disturbing him…
Seemingly able to read Xavia’s mind, Stefan then added in a warm and gentle tone, “If I leave you here alone, I won’t be able to be at ease since I already know how the Lockharts treat you. With that said, you don’t want me flying over all the time, do you?”
“As for Yulia, I’ll make sure to arrange a good school for her. She’ll finish class at the same time I get off work, so you needn’t worry too much. Besides, Dolly will also be around. Unless… you’re worried about me bullying her?”
Upon hearing that, Xavia quickly shook her head while saying, “Of course not! You’re the safest person Yulia could ever be around!”
“Then it’s a deal,” replied Stefan, not giving Xavia a chance to go back on her word. Following that, he gently picked Yulia up while saying, “Do you wish to return to S City with daddy to meet Aunt Dolly, princess? Mommy still has some things to do here, but we’ll come back to pick her up once she’s done.”
Smacking her lips in response, Yulia went silent for a moment before asking, “Does… that mean that I won’t be able to meet Brother Maison and Uncle Burton anymore…?”
“Hmm… Well, you’ve already stayed with them for over half a month now, right…? Shouldn’t you stay with daddy for that long as well…? If you keep being so cold to me, daddy will feel hurt…” replied Stefan in a gentle voice, almost as though he was saddened.
“Don’t be sad, future daddy! I’ll accompany you for half a month too!” comforted Yulia almost immediately.
“My, my, what a good girl!” said Stefan with a smile, leaving Xavia speechless. What else could she say? Even if she was reluctant, this was what they had agreed upon…
It was ten the next morning when Xavia stepped foot into the Lockhart Mansion…
