Alexander was pacing anxiously with the butler and Charlotte nearby, all waiting quietly but restlessly.
Ashley stepped forward and gave a polite bow, her movements graceful. In a gentle voice, she said, “Mr. Taylor, hello. I’m Ashley, a classmate of Cassandra’s. I came by to check on her.”
