Chapter 163
On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, after everyone had their share of mooncakes, Oliver Foster was the one to suggest they head to the riverside to float lanterns.
But just before they left, Amelia Johnson suddenly tugged Damien Taylor aside for a quick photo together—she said she wanted to post it on her Moments.
It was actually the first time Amelia had ever made such a request, so Damien was over the moon. After all, being featured on her feed meant something… or so he thought.
Truth was, Amelia had other reasons for doing it.
The moon hung bright and full in the sky.
There was quite the crowd along the riverbank, villagers lighting candles and setting their lanterns afloat. Little flickers danced on the water, nestled in colorful lotus-shaped boats, carrying everyone’s heartfelt wishes downstream.
