Amelia Johnson felt a little crushed. “Sure, I’m not as impressive as you, but I’m not totally useless either.”
Sitting lazily on the couch, Sabrina Johnson replied flatly, “Okay, and? Can you leave now?”
Ethan Collins frowned a little. “Sabrina, you’ve changed.”
Sabrina rolled her eyes. “Please, spare me the sarcastic drama. If we weren’t acquainted, someone breaking into my place like this would be nursing a few bruises by now. I’m telling you to leave, and you say I’ve changed? What, you planning on moving in or something?”
Ethan stared at her. “I misjudged you today. I’m sorry.”
Sabrina didn’t expect that. She just gave a small nod.
“I’ll head out then. Good night,” Ethan said quietly.
“Yeah, yeah,” Sabrina replied half-heartedly, giving him a casual wave.
Once Ethan was gone, Sabrina locked the balcony door and finally slipped back into bed.
