Chapter 90

Aidan grabbed Eliana by the collar and forced her to look up at him. “I want you to see with your very own eyes - see how your brother is being abused.” He then shoved Eliana to the bodyguard standing beside him. “Take her to the next room.” he ordered. “Aidan, please don’t do this…” Eliana begged as she shook her head vigorously, “Eddie will die...please, don’t do this…” Aidan scoffed, “You should’ve thought twice before you killed Evan,” he then turned to the bodyguard and nodded at him, “Take her out.” And so, Eliana was dragged out of the door. “I’ll never forgive you, Aidan,” she spat, “I’ll never forgive you - I hate you…” she screamed, “I HATE YOU!!!” As soon as Eliana was pushed into the next room, Aidan turned on the TV to see surveillance footage of what was going on next door. One of the women in the room recognized Eliana at first glance, “Oh, look who it is,” she sneered, “If it isn’t Eliana Harvey, the heiress of the Harvey Family…” Eddie paled as soon as he saw Eliana - he didn’t want anyone, most of all his own sister, to see him in such a state. Eliana hurriedly took off her jacket to cover her brother, shoving the two women who’d been pinning him aside as she did so. “Eddie, don’t worry, I’m here,” Eliana murmured softly as she hugged her brother, “Don’t worry, I won’t let them hurt you.” She then got up to untie Eddie. Just as she was about to do so, however, one of the women pulled her back, “Excuse me, Miss Harvey, but we’ve paid for him - he belongs to us now.” “No,” Eliana insisted as she spread her arms protectively and stood in front of Eddie, “I won’t let you touch him.” The woman snarled, “That’s not up to you to decide.” The other woman went over to the door and yelled out, “What’s up with the security guards here? Get a hold of this rogue and crazy cleaner this instant!” A security guard entered immediately to apprehend Eliana - as soon as she was apprehended, the two women went back to torture Eddie…”Let her go,” Eddie cried out desperately, “Please, let Eliana go, someone, please, take her out…” Alas, he couldn’t do anything but let Eliana watch as he was tortured. “Eliana, please don’t look at me!” he shouted, “Please don’t look at me…” Likewise, Eliana could do nothing but to stand there and watch as her brother was brutally tortured - she closed her eyes in agony as tears started to fall down her face… … The security guard only let go of Eliana after the two women had left. Eliana immediately lurched forward towards Eddie, only to crumble onto the ground because she was so weak - nevertheless, she crawled adamantly towards her brother and climbed onto the bed to untie him. Eddie closed his eyes and turned his head away, too ashamed to face his sister. He was so embarrassed that he wanted to die right there and then. Eliana wanted to wipe Eddie’s tears away, only to find that she was barely able to wipe her own away. “It’s alright, it’s alright…” she reassured repeatedly, “Eddie, it’s alright…I’m sorry,” she sobbed as she took her brother into her arms, “I’m the one who’d gotten you into this whole mess…” “Ellie, I want to die,” Eddie choked out as he hugged his sister back, “I really, really want to die…” Eliana’s heart ached as Eddie cried and buried his face into her shoulder, “Ellie, I know that I’m being selfish by saying this, but I really want to die…” Eliana let go of Eddie and cupped his face with her hands - it was clear to both of them at this very moment that Aidan would probably never let them go. “We can’t go on like this,” she muttered, “We can’t…” The brother and sister pair looked at each other for a long time when Eliana suddenly got up, retried a bottle of beer from the table, and smashed it such that she was now holding a shard of glass. Eliana and Eddie exchanged a smile. Eliana covered Eddie’s eyes with her left hand as she murmured softly, “I’ll send you away, Eddie - don’t worry, I’ll be with you soon. I’ll still be your sister in your next life...I’ll always be your sister…”
