Chapter 92
“That Evan whom you’d so heartlessly and cruelly drowned yesterday…” Megan sneered, “...he was your child.” Eliana’s eyes widened as she shoved Megan back at this revelation. “You’re lying,” she gritted out.
Megan clicked her teeth as she sent a tight slap across Eliana’s face, “You’re really asking for death, aren’t you?” Instead of responding to her question, Eliana shook her vigorously as she repeated, “You’re lying.”
“I’m not,” Megan retorted haughtily, “You hadn’t given birth to a stillborn - it was Aidan who was afraid that you would use your child to wield control over him. Not wanting your child to know that you were his mother, he decided that it would be better if he was to be raised as Laura’s.” Eliana’s chest was heaving up and down as she screamed, “YOU’RE LYING!!!”
Megan chuckled evilly, “Eliana, oh, Eliana - you really bought it, didn’t you?” Eliana was so hysterical at this point that she felt as though she was about to lose her mind. “Eliana, oh, Eliana - you deserve all of these - well, how do you feel now that you know that you’d killed your own child?”
Just then, Eliana pounced onto Megan and clawed viciously at the latter’s neck, “You’re lying, you’re lying!” she chanted, “Please, for the love of God, tell me - you’re lying, YOU’RE LYING!!!”
“Stop lying to yourself, Eliana,” Megan scoffed as she grabbed Eliana’s hand, “Remember how I’d remarked that Evan looked like Aidan and Laura? Hadn’t you noticed just how much he actually looks like you and not Laura?”
Eliana seemed to have lost all of her strength and energy at Megan’s words - she crumbled limply, giving Megan the chance to shove her away and kick her in the side before grabbing her by her hair once again. “Aidan probably couldn’t bear to tell you,” she mused, “But I’m not going to be kind to people like you - people like you deserve to burn in hell.”
She then tossed Eliana back onto the ground, went out of the room and slammed the door behind her. Eliana, who was lying helplessly on the ground, couldn’t help but think about Evan at this very moment - she remembered how he’d looked back at her, so pure-hearted, innocent-looking and endearing…
Eliana burst into tears as she curled up into a ball and clawed at her hair slightly, “No, that can’t be, that can’t be…” she murmured to herself, “Megan is lying...MEGAN IS LYING!!! SHE MUST’VE LIED JUST BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO SEE ME SUFFER!!!”
Eliana sprang up onto her feet and tried to open the door at this thought, only to discover that she’d been locked in. “Let me out, LET ME OUT!!!” Eliana yelled as she pounded her fists against the door, “I WANT TO SEE AIDAN!!! Please...I want to see Aidan...I want to ask him something…”
Alas, no one heard Eliana no matter how much she shouted and cried - in the end, there was nothing that she could do but crumble onto the ground and feel herself slip away from consciousness…
…
Travis visited Blanchard Garden the next day - as soon as Robert came to the door, he said to the latter, “I want to see Aidan - I have evidence to prove Eliana’s innocence.”
