Vivian acted like she didn’t even see Vincent Reeves’s men closing in. In just three seconds, she undid the ropes on Angelina.
“Boss, they—” Angelina jumped up, ready for action. With her and Vivian working together, these guys would be toast.
“Don’t talk,” Vivian said softly, eyes lowered.
If killing Vincent could save the people she needed to rescue, she wouldn’t even blink.
Angelina bit her lip and stayed quiet.
She knew exactly why Vivian put up with Vincent. It was all her fault—too careless. If she’d been more discreet while tracking him, hadn’t gotten spotted, maybe Vivian could’ve secretly found her parents by now.
Thinking that, Angelina suddenly raised her hand to slap herself.
“I’m sorry, Boss. I screwed up.”
Vivian quickly grabbed her wrist, stopping her. She shook her head. “This isn’t on you. That rehab center’s surrounded by top-tier surveillance with signal-blocking tech. Anyone who gets close is spotted instantly.”
