Vivian shot a quick glance at Alexander and said, “Alright, I’ll head over now.”

After hanging up, Vivian raised an eyebrow at Alexander. “Sophia wants to see me, let’s go.”
“Does she miss me too?” Alexander leaned in with that low, magnetic voice of his, full of teasing charm.
“We’ve been apart for less than ten hours,” Vivian reminded him, deadpan.
“So?”
She paused, cleared her throat lightly. “Yeah.”
She did miss him, actually.
It felt weird. In her previous life, they never exchanged sweet words like this. She used to believe that just being there was enough to show love. But now, saying her feelings out loud felt strange—too new.
“I missed you too, Vivian.” Alexander gently squeezed her palm, chuckled, then finally started the engine.
His Vivian was still shy.
No rush. There’s plenty of time.
He’d wait for her to grow a bit more comfortable. She wouldn't stay this bashful forever.
Vivian let out a quiet breath. Her palm was slightly damp with sweat.
