In the back alley behind the bar-
A dozen burly guys in black instantly blocked every exit.
The man at the end of the alley, wearing a feather mask, didn't look the least bit flustered. Even with danger looming, there was still a faint, cocky smile in his pitch-dark eyes.
As the sharp stomp of leather shoes echoed closer, he casually shoved his hands into his pockets and turned around with leisure.
Cassian stepped into view, black suit crisp, the bitter night breeze tugging at his sharp features and cold eyes. He looked like he owned the darkness itself.
As the two locked eyes, time seemed to freeze, not a sound in the air-just unbearable tension.
