The old man finally let out a sigh of relief when someone stepped in to help, his wrinkled face lighting up with a smile. “Miss, thank you!”

“Let go of me, dammit!” The man yelled, his arm twisted painfully as he still tried to act tough.
Delia Fleming’s lips curled slightly, her eyes cold. “What if I say no?”
“Miss, you’ve got it all wrong! He’s innocent, it’s that old man who’s scamming people!”
“Yeah, yeah! Let him go already!”
The crowd started chiming in, their voices rising again. Delia shot them a sharp look and barked, “Alex, let him go!”
Alex didn’t hesitate—he yanked the guy and threw him straight to the ground. “She’s not someone any of you can mess with.”
That one sentence was enough to make the crowd fall silent. People suddenly recalled seeing Delia step out of that black Maybach by the road.
