Dorothy's POV
Darius's voice was low and hoarse as my ultimatum hit home. "Are you serious?"
I smiled, meeting his gaze without flinching. "As a heart attack."
My wolf stirred inside me, pleased with the shocked expression on his face. For once, the almighty Alpha of Silver Creek looked utterly lost - a far cry from the commanding presence he usually projected.
"But what can you do with the blood? You don't need it," he argued, his wolf's distress evident in the subtle shift of his scent.
"I don't, but a lot of others do." I shrugged, feeling the weight of my words. "You know how rare my blood type is. I donated—no, I gave away so much of my blood to that woman over the past three years. I would have been okay with it if she really needed it. After all, you paid me a lot of money."
