Lucius's POV I stormed back to the master bedroom, Raven pacing restlessly inside my mind. Claire's choice to stay in the guest room instead of sharing the master bedroom with me was more irritating than I had anticipated. This was a blatant refusal. Claire didn't want to share a room with me—her mate, her Alpha! "She even said she needed her own space," I growled. Raven snarled in agreement. Even if our marriage began as a contract to protect our pup, the primal part of me, the wolf within, recognized her as mine. And wolves don't sleep apart from their mates. The more I thought about it, the more frustrated I became. If she didn't want to be around me that badly, then I wouldn't get in her way. I'd been taking care of her, helping with household chores, and she still acted like she was afraid of me. Though Raven was a bit angry, he still defended her. "Lucius, maybe our human little mate just needs some time to adjust?" I pursed my lips. "Fine, then I'll give her that personal time a
