The heavy rays of morning sun light shone into the face of Doctor Sailor and he shook slightly before waking up from sleep. He dragged a grin and then turned his face to his right to see her sizeable picture. It was the dashing picture of Susan. His face grew sober and crimson as he stroked the picture of a woman of his youth. He was yet to believe she was no more. He thought she was going to finish strong with him. She had taken a prompt decision that led her to termination. And about now it hurt him so much that he couldn’t protect his family from the ruthless shifters of Lord Mayor. He felt defeated and withdrawn from the promise he had always made to her. “Whether in life or in death, I am going to protect and make sure you stay with me,” he had always promised her. And right now as he stared at her picture and broke down in tears, he gnashed his teeth and cursed Lord Mayor in his head as the wolf in him groaned. He felt guilty and broke down in tears abruptly and when he was about
