I struck Aiden with great strength, causing his face to instantly whip to the side.
Soon, a clear handprint took shape on his cheek.
The slap stunned him and everyone else in the room.
Aiden pressed his hand against his cheek, staring at me in disbelief. The rage in his eyes had now transformed into humiliation. "Why, you… you hit me!"
"I wanted to hit some sense into you," I said in a frigid voice.
I scanned the audience in the living room, then directed my attention back to him. "You people think he's the person-in-charge of this place and the scion of the Burnett family, am I right?"
No one dared to make a sound.
I scoffed and smiled, but the smile on my face did not reach my eyes. "Aiden, is that what you'd always believed too? Did you feel like you were born to have everything? This villa, the luxury car outside, the shares at the company, and the limitless black card that I gave you?"
Though Aiden remained silent, that defiance in his eyes was self-explanatory.
