Chapter 10 Award Night  Lila I looked away from him, not turning even when he took a seat. I didn’t want to give him the attention he wanted.  Before Mr. Jerry could leave, I called him back, “May I get another seat?” I asked politely. If there was anyway I could miss staying with Lucien then I wanted it. He shook his head, “I’m sorry Ms. Vitale, unfortunately all seats have been designated and changes would disrupt a lot” he said letting me down slowly. I smiled, agreeing with him even when I wanted to insist. Unfortunately coming back meant I would have to endure certain things I wasn’t comfortable with.  I felt his breath on my ear before he spoke, “You cant always run away from this” he said, his tone a little triumphant.  I didn’t respond to him, my head stayed down, going to my phone even though there wasn’t anything on it. But he wasn’t done.  “You look breathtaking Lils.” He said. His nickname for me caused my heart to beat a little more but I ignored him again. I coul
