“You don't have to go for the dinner if you don't want to,” Olivia said for the umpteenth time as she watched me get dressed.
I sighed, looking at myself in the mirror one more time. “I think my mind has been made up, Oli,” I whispered, putting on lipgloss. I wanted to put on something simple.
“This isn't just so you can see Lucien, is it?” She asked,.making me pause.
It wasn't to see him. I shook my head at Olivia. “I've already told you, Oli. I'm way past this. I don't think I want to have much to do with Lucien to begin with. Nothing except work. I'm just maintaining family ties, and being happy for my sister.”
She exhaled slowly. I could tell that she didn't like the idea of me going over to my parents house to begin with, but I wanted it. Especially with everything that I had planned.
A car honked downstairs, making me allow myself to a small smile. Olivia looked downstairs through my window, and then back at me.
“Dante is here,” she said, cocking an eye
