"This way, Mrs. Holten."
Sean opened the door for her, and Louisa stopped breathing. She couldn't even get her legs to move as she peered into the room.
A huge bed was situated in the middle of the room. From where Louisa was standing, she could only see the outline of a figure in bed.
However, she knew that was Letitia, the person she hadn't seen in seven years.
Being as close to the very thing she'd wanted with every fiber of her being for years, Louisa was terrified. She'd wanted nothing more than to find Letitia and meet with her, even if it was just for a moment.
Yet, with Letitia right in front of her, Louisa suddenly felt afraid. As for the source of her fear, Louisa herself couldn't say for sure.
Sean stood beside Louisa without rushing her, waiting patiently.
After about a minute, Louisa inhaled deeply. However, she didn't walk straight in. Instead, she turned to Sean and asked, "Are there any precautions I need to take?"
