This was Diane's apartment, the only keepsake Giselle's mother had left her. Why couldn't she make her decision? Chantelle had no right to live here.
Dylan pushed the suitcase toward her.
"Giselle, if you still want us to forgive you, go home and apologize properly to Uncle David, Mrs. Camille, to Chantelle, and to Gavin," he said.
Giselle spat, gripping the suitcase tightly.
Dylan asked, "What will you do if you don't apologize? No job, no place to stay, you'll end up working in a bar, serving drinks, maybe even selling yourself.
"Giselle, you can be shameless all you want, but don't think you can drag the whole Whitman family down with you."
Giselle turned and walked away.
She forced herself to look composed, but in truth, she had nowhere to go.
