Chantelle's face had gone pale. "Gavin, take Giselle up first. I'm fine. Just hurry."
His gaze landed on Giselle—her expression as cool as ever. Just as he was about to step toward her, Chantelle suddenly began gasping, hands clawing at her throat. Her skin flushed from ghost-pale to a frightening purple-red as she struggled for air.
Gavin's face was drained of color. "You're having an asthma attack! Where's your inhaler?"
Chantelle couldn't get a word out and merely pointed upward. She hadn't brought it down with her.
Without a second thought, Gavin scooped her into his arms and headed for the rope. He didn't have time to tell Giselle anything before he began hauling himself and Chantelle up.
As soon as they reached the top, Ruby took one look at Chantelle and burst into tears. "Chantelle, are you okay?
"You wouldn't have fallen if not for saving Giselle. Why are you always so kind? You need to get to the hospital immediately. Mr. Farrell, please take her. We'll rescue Giselle
