Aurora's POV
“They are beautiful. What are their names?” an elderly woman stopped me as I pushed the twins' trolley towards a shopping mall.
I smiled. This was the fifth time I had been stopped since I got out of the house a few minutes ago. I had barely even gone a mile before receiving compliments from people.
“Jay and Janice. Thank you so much.” I replied, watching her make cute faces at them.
“Those are lovely names, and you're a beautiful mother. Take care, alright? I hope to see your babies' faces soon.”
“Same too, ma.” I continued pushing as I gazed at the windows of shops. It's been almost a year now and I haven't heard anything from Xavier. Not a phone call nor a message. His men, who were stationed to watch over us, had all returned to the pack on his order.
I felt devastated, and several times, I wanted to call him but Mom wouldn't let me. She believes he was immersed in the pack activities and keeping our whereabouts a secret.
