I watched as Harrison walked into the dimly lit cottage, the familiar scent of my favorite candles filling the air. I was curled up on the couch with our son, and seeing him brought a small smile to his lips. I looked up, searching his face, seeing the weight of a long day etched there. As he came closer, I could feel the tension in him slowly melting away.
"Hey," I said softly, trying to comfort him.
He didn't say anything. Instead, he took my face in his hands and kissed me deeply, his touch desperate and intense. I melted into him, wrapping my arms around his neck. He lifted me, and I wrapped my legs around his waist, feeling his warmth and the strength I craved. The day's troubles started to fade away as he carried me to the bedroom, our kisses growing deeper, our breaths ragged.
