Chapter 10
Irene’s POV
“Irene?” Cassie called and snapped me out of my thoughts. I smiled at her and then at Dad.
“What's the matter, Princess?” Dad asked as he brushed my cheek. I grinned at him, ignoring the odd feeling in my chest.
“I am fine, Dad, let's go.”
We walked out of my room, Cassie and I in front, with Dad behind us. We got down the stairs, into the sitting room, and I felt a blast of scents.
A few werewolves were in the sitting room, hanging around and some were seated at the bar, taking drinks. The main venue was in the courtyard outside, I had seen how beautifully decorated it was from my room window.
I closed my eyes as I sniffed in deeply, tightening my clutch on Cassie’s hand. My sensitive sense of smell was overwhelming, I guess there were many werewolves at the party. Dad must have gone out of his way to invite everyone.
My father walked Cassie and I out to the venue. We paused just when we were about to get in and I faced Dad. He had a brow arched. “Princess, is anything the
