After a long pause, Layla finally said, "I'm sorry, I went too far." She knew her limits. There were certain things she shouldn't ask. Layla was the kind of person who could take a step back, someone who understood when to stop. Tyler, however, wasn't upset about her prying into his private life. In fact, he didn't mind her tough questions. He casually offered her an invitation, "How about we get a drink together?" Layla was surprised that he changed the subject so easily. She looked at him closely, trying to figure out if he was serious. After a long moment, she realized he really meant it. She thought about it for a second and then smiled, replying cheerfully, "Mm-hmm, sure." Both of them acted cool. Tyler turned and left the study first, with Layla following a moment later. When they got downstairs, Tyler walked over to the bar and looked at her. "What would you like to drink?" Layla realized that things between them might change from this point. She figured it would be best
