Chapter 1436
Olivia slid down the wall until she was seated at Tyler's feet. Her body sank into the cold, hard floor, her arms resting limply on her knees.
Tyler looked down at her. His hand pressed firmly against the wall beside her, boxing her in. She was trapped between his legs, unable to escape the narrow space they shared.
Time passed slowly in the stillness of the cramped corner. The faint hum of the mourning hall's ventilation system was the only sound. The air felt heavy, thick with emotions left unsaid.
After what seemed like an eternity, Tyler finally dropped his hand from the wall. It fell to his side, weak and lifeless, as if the energy had drained from him. He took a deep breath and lifted his face.
"Don't come back here again. I don't want to see you in front of Grandma's grave."
He didn't wait for a response. Without glancing at her again, he turned and walked away. The sound of his footsteps echoed in the long hallway, each step reverberating in the cold, somber atmosphere.
