After Phoebe went upstairs, she and Tyler stayed in the study without doing anything.
One sat while the other stood in the dim and quiet space.
Phoebe stood there, feeling an unexplained tension. Half an hour passed, and the man in front of her hadn't spoken a word. Uneasy, she twisted her hands nervously.
Finally, she murmured, "Tyler... are you okay?"
As soon as she spoke, Tyler, who had been sitting with his eyes closed, opened them and fixed his gaze on her. But it was brief; he closed them again, resting his hand against his face.
Phoebe tried again, "Tyler, how about I give you a massage? You probably haven't rested in days because of Lucian."
Before he could respond, she took a cautious step forward, gradually closing the distance.
Just as she started to reach out, his cold voice cut through the silence, "Did I tell you to move?"
Her hand stopped midair, and she looked at him.
Tyler, ignoring her expression, said firmly, "You know why I let you come up here."
