ALEXANDER’S POV
I had always hated Victory Pass.
The wind here had something in it that I couldn’t explain.
For some reason, it reminded me of broken promises and bloodshed.
Still, as I stood tall at the gates of the Blood Moon Pack’s stronghold, dressed in my royal clothes, I forced a neutral expression and clasped my hands behind my back.
Duty before personal preference. Always.
What I wanted didn’t matter.
As a Prince, I needed to put my wants aside. I have to take care of the needs of the district first.
I stood outside, watching Prince Edmund and Princess Isabella’s convoy come forward.
“Your Highness,” I said with a slight bow as Prince Edmund walked down from the car.
His golden armor reflected in the sunlight and he offered a tight smile in return.
“A pleasure as always, Prince Alexander,” he replied.
His sister, Princess Isabella, followed close behind.
Her silver-blue gown swayed like ocean waves, her sapphire eyes sparkling with curiosity as she surveyed the mountain pass.
