LIAM’S POV
From the very next morning after the rogue attack, I noticed it. Natalie was avoiding me.
At first, I thought it was just her being tired or busy with Iris, but the more I paid attention, the more obvious it became.
Every time I walked into a room, she found an excuse to leave. When I tried to talk to her, her answers were short, cold and she’d quickly steer the conversation elsewhere.
It hurt more than I wanted to admit.
One evening, I caught her in the kitchen, carefully placing a tray of tea on the counter. I leaned against the doorway. I had a feeling that she was angry about the fight. I shouldn’t have used my aura on her. that was wrong. She was my Luna. She needed my respect as well.
I didn’t want her to come with us because I was protecting her. I wanted her to be safe. Still, I could have handled the situation better.
“Natalie,” I said gently.
