Chapter 448
"You—!"
Dominic Reynolds practically exploded. That temper of his didn’t give a damn whose house this was. Even if the insult was thrown at the Fields family, he was ready to charge right in.
Before the words even left his mouth, Oliver Fields grabbed his wrist, shaking his head firmly and shooting him a look.
Dominic wasn’t brainless—hot-headed, sure, but not a fool. As soon as he caught the signal, he just clenched his jaw and swallowed the rage, shooting the old man a deadly glare before stepping back.
Douglas Bentley didn’t even blink. To him, these kids were just that—noisy, harmless, and no real threat. Not worth his energy.
In fact, watching them squirm but unable to bite back—it was almost amusing.
So young. So easy to push over the edge.
“If you still have things to discuss, you can wait until our old master finishes his dinner, or come back tomorrow. If not, feel free to head out. Dinner's limited tonight, unfortunately, so we won’t be able to host. Apologies.”
Norman Rawlins
