“I need updates regarding the project,” I asked as I eyed them one by one.
We are currently in the meeting room, seated around the long, polished table, each of my executives with their laptops open, notes ready. I keep my voice calm but firm, laced with the authority that my position demands.
One of my senior employees clears his throat and begins. “Everything is going fine, sir. Riviera’s construction work is marvellous, and if I’m allowed to say—it’s better than the previous one.”
I nod slowly, taking his words into consideration. He’s not one to exaggerate, which means the progress must be solid. I shift my attention to the next employee as she starts updating me on the real estate acquisitions and recent transactions.
The meeting flows smoothly, with every point covered in a timely manner. We don’t waste words in this room. I make sure of that. Efficiency is everything, especially now. I can’t afford distractions or setbacks—not with George working in the sa
