Chapter 111
JAX'S POV
I stormed through the corridors of my compound, my rage building with each step. Guards flattened themselves against the walls as I passed, their fear heavy in the air around me. They knew better than to get in my way when I was like this.
A crash echoed through the building as I slammed the dungeon door open so hard that the steel bent against the concrete wall. The dim lighting flickered as I descended the stairs, taking them two at a time, my wolf so close to the surface that I could feel my claws extending and retracting with each flex of my fingers.
The cell door stood open. The silver shackles lay discarded on the floor, still faintly smeared with Aubrey's blood. And in the center of it all, Ivanka sprawled unconscious, a darkening bruise forming at her temple.
"Wake her up," I snarled to the guard who had followed me down. He hesitated only a second before rushing to obey, kneeling beside Ivanka and gently patting her face.
