40 minutes later, Cassandra came downstairs. Her long, black hair was pinned up neatly with a hairpin inlaid with pieces of emerald. She wasn't wearing any makeup. Since her skin was fair, only a touch of lipstick brought warmth to her complexion.
The light green dress with embroidered butterflies outlined her slender figure, making her look ethereal. It was simple, yet it radiated her beauty.
The driver, who came to pick up Cassandra, was stunned by the sight. Returning to his senses, he quickly withdrew his gaze and opened the backseat door.
