Chapter 28: Decision

“Yeah. The plan’s still on. We have to do it now, we do not have more time. Tell them I will blow their heads out if they ask one more question”, Sev’s muffled growl woke me up. My eyes hurt when I tried to open them, my tears dried up, I felt it on the skin of my face and at the sides of my eyes. But I succeed nonetheless to see Sev standing by the window with drawn curtains revealing the darkness outside. He had a phone on his hand, pressed on his ear and talking ardently. Like the other waking hours I had, the numbness on the lower part of my body was there. I couldn’t properly push myself to sit without struggling much so I stayed lying on my back watching him.
