I opened the door cautiously, hoping he had left. But as I stepped out, Ethan was there, waiting, like he knew I would want to leave the store without confronting him. He reached for my arm, stopping me just as I tried to walk past.
“You’re crazy,” I scolded, yanking my arm free as we stepped away from the racks. “You walked into my dressing room, Ethan! You saw me undressed and just stood there like it was normal. There are so many people outside, what the hell is wrong with you?”
My voice came out louder than I intended, drawing a curious glance from a passing shopper. I lowered it quickly, but the heat in my face remained. My entire body still burned from the humiliation, the tension, the embarrassment of him barging in like that—like it was nothing.
