Chapter 11 I Want a Divorce
Tristan held Cressida up by the arm. His clean, pine scent engulfed her once again.
Silence filled the corridor. Cressida's question went unanswered.
Tristan said nothing as he steadied her, allowing her to lean on him. He half-carried and half-dragged her back to the hospital room.
"Your grandma's out of danger now, but your health's in a complete mess." Tristan stood by the bedside, looking down at Cressida. His white coat made him seem rather aloof.
"If you continue wearing yourself out like this, you'll break down before she even does. When the time comes, who'll take care of her?"
Tristan had been honest and blunt. His words offered no comfort at all, yet they seemed to give her a sense of clarity amid the chaos in her mind.
Tristan was right. Cressida had to take care of Daphne, so she couldn't afford to fall ill.
Cressida gathered all her strength to prop herself up on the bed, saying in a low voice, "Thank you, Dr. Leigh."
