Chapter 82 Urgent Matters at the Company
Cressida turned her head away. "You're overegging it. He and I aren't even friends."
"Not even friends?" Yvonne raised an eyebrow and circled her again, arms crossed. "From what I've heard, the elusive boss of Leigh Group is aloof, withdrawn, and notoriously unapproachable. Do you really think he's the type to go to a random woman's home, much less dine with her family?"
Cressida didn't respond. She'd considered the same things herself.
But how could that be?
"What would he like about me? That I'm divorced? That my reputation is in shambles? Or that I won't live much longer?" 
The corners of her lips curled in bitter amusement. "Yvonne, stop guessing. I don't have the time or energy to invest in a new relationship."
The weariness etched into her face was far too heavy for someone her age. 
Yvonne dropped the subject. She stepped over and hugged Cressida from behind. "Alright, I won't ask anymore. Just… be careful. That Tristan Leigh isn't to be taken lightly."
