Kaelis shoved Garrick's hand away, not sparing a glance at what was on his phone. She said, "No matter what you do, I'll never forgive you. Showing up here and clinging to me like this only makes you more of a nuisance.
"You don't love me at all. Even if Lyra's gone, there will be countless others after her. It's pointless, and I'm done."
She frowned in irritation as she ordered the crew to clear away the entire setup.
The gorgeous blooms, now trampled and broken, were nothing more than a muddy mess tossed in with the garbage. It was a bitter kind of irony.
