Chapter 281 Greenlight
Over a thousand fighters, clad in mismatched camouflage and armed with AK-47s, RPGs, and sniper rifles were stationed. They were fanned out in defensive lines. Their own tanks were older T-72 models but no less deadly. They rumbled to life upon noticing the approaching royal forces.
Terence slammed on the brakes, signaling the army to halt. “Hold positions!” he barked into the comms.
Dust settled as both sides stared each other down. It was a tense standoff under the relentless sun. “This is bigger than we thought. They have mercenaries from every corner—ex-special forces, warlords’ rejects. Dagon’s got an army.”
Voss scanned the enemy lines through binoculars. “They’re not bluffing, sir. We’ve got superior tech, but the numbers are even. A full assault could turn into a bloodbath.”
Terence nodded, pulling out his satellite phone. “I need authorization from the top. Princess Michelle has to greenlight this. We’re on the brink of war here.”
