Marc froze for a moment, glancing over eight of his men. He couldn't spot a single clue as to whether any of them could be Blaine.
With a look of defeat, he gazed at Matthew. "I tried my best, but I just can't find Blaine. Could you please spare me?"

Matthew was thinking the same thing. But Marc was a scammer, and letting him go would only lead to more victims.
After a pause, Matthew added, "I'm not saying I can't let you go. But first, hand over all the money you swindled. If it's enough, I'll consider it."
Marc's eyes lit up when he heard that.
