Chapter 33
Vivianne Sinclair
I sat quietly beside Noah in Scott's car, fondling my fingers, and my heart pounding as I stared out through the window.
Noah asked to join us for lunch, and even though I didn't want it, Scott said it was fine.
We reached the restaurant… The same one where I'd hung out with Scott a few days ago.
The waiter came to take our order, and as we waited, Noah's phone rang.
“Give me a minute, please. I'll be back.”
My eyes fixed on him as he walked away.
“I think you misunderstood everything earlier.” Scott spoke once it was just us, and I turned to him with a blink.
“Huh?”
“That girl… What's her name again? Yeah, Bailey… I think there was something weird about her.”
“What do you mean?”
“I have a feeling she was just there to cause problems.”
I bit my lip.
“The way Noah looked at her was different.”
My lips parted, but no words came out.
Wait… What does he mean by different?
“It didn't look to me like he had feelings for her. Who knows, maybe she could be lying.”
