536: THE GLEE, IT'S WORTH IT
ARIEL'S POV
We both stood there in the glow of the arcade lights; the sound of Janice's laughter and the bustle of the arcade was great around us. I felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over me.
"You know," I murmured, "sometimes I forget how lucky we are. To have a family that loves each other, to have each other's backs. I think that's worth celebrating, don't you?"
Luke smiled. "I think that's something worth celebrating every day, Ariel."
"Luke, there's something I have to tell you."
He raised his eyebrow in curiosity. It was clear on his face. "Okay, what's that?"
I suspired. "It's Daria."
"Daria?"
"Yes, Daria."
His face changed, and I could see the rage in his eyes. He hated that woman, no doubt about that. "What happened? What did she do now?"
"She threatened to take you away from me. She was so serious about it that she would snatch you in any way she could, even if it meant killing me."
