Liliana still didn't quite buy her explanation. "If you're still hungry, just grab something to eat. We don't mistreat staff here."
"Thank you, Mrs. Clark. You're really kind," said Marsha, clutching that pack of tissues like her life depended on it. As she turned to leave, she rushed a bit too much and knocked over a potted plant.
She scrambled to set it upright, her face instantly pale with panic. "I'm so sorry!"
"It's fine. No need to be scared. I'm not gonna scold you," Liliana replied gently, telling her to go rest.
Back in bed, Liliana stared at the ceiling, her thoughts running wild.
"Still thinking about Marsha?" Wilson asked, noticing she hadn't relaxed one bit.
Liliana turned to face him, clearly unsettled. "Don't you think she's... off?"
Wilson didn't think much of it. "What's so weird about her?"
"When I gave her water earlier, I noticed her hands were ridiculously well-kept. Not the kind of hands you'd expect on someone doing housework."
