Paxton could feel the weight of others' gazes upon him, but amidst the crowd, he couldn't fathom Sabrina daring to harm him.
"Paxton, do you grasp the gravity of your actions?" Sabrina's eyes bore into him, a cold smile hiding within.
Paxton was already in a panic. "What are you implying? I don't understand," he gritted his teeth, glaring at Sabrina.
He bowed his head, nervously tapping his shoe's sole.
Paxton's phone buzzed in his pocket. Frowning, he quickly checked it.
It was an unknown number, but Paxton immediately recognized the sender.
[Shake them off. Don't let them draw anything out of you.]
Paxton's fingers trembled as he hurriedly pocketed the phone, fearful but with no time to dwell on how Sabrina had found out. "No response?" Sabrina lightly chuckled.
Paxton's mind was in chaos. Just as his urgency peaked, clarity suddenly struck.
He stood abruptly and smiled. "I need to visit the restroom."
With that, he turned and walked away.
