That look on Luna Judy's face—desperate and entitled—sent a thrill of satisfaction through me. The remorse and regret radiating from everyone in that hospital room was palpable, wrapping around them like invisible chains. Their suffering brought me a dark comfort I never thought I'd enjoy.
"Do you want it?" I asked in a low, suggestive voice, dangling the wolf fang pendant between my fingers. The ancient runes caught the fluorescent hospital lights, casting tiny shadows across my palm.
